Published Aug 06, 2020Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston is back for a new limited Showtime series titled Your Honor — only this time he's on the other side of the law. Or is he?
Cranston — who recently revealed he was diagnosed with COVID-19 — is set to play a Chicago judge who finds himself at the centre of a moral dilemma when his son is involved in a hit-and-run. In a new teaser from Showtime, we see Cranston as he attempts to cover up the crime in order to keep his son safe from the law.
According to an official synopsis, his actions lead to "a high-stakes game of lies, deceit and impossible choices." The series has been adapted from the Israeli series, Kvodo.
"Don't tell anyone," Cranston tells his son in the clip. "Not ever. I can keep you safe if no one ever hears about it."
He'll star alongside Hunter Doohan, Michael Stuhlbarg, Sofia Black D'Elia, Carmen Ejogo, Isiah Whitlock Jr. and Hope Davis. Peter Moffat is on board as a writer. The 10-episode series is currently in post-production without an official release date.
Your Honor will mark Cranston's first acting gig since his (spoiler) surprise cameo in 2019's El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie. The actor is also credited as an executive producer for the show.
