Harrison Ford to Reportedly Star in Series Adaptation of 'The Staircase'
Legendary actor and famed grumpy guy Harrison Ford is reportedly taking on a new dramatic role in a television adaptation of the 2004 documentary series The Staircase.

The original 13-episode series followed the court case of Michael Peterson who was accused of bludgeoning his wife to death, only to later stage her death as an accident. Netflix began streaming the series in 2018.

According to Variety, Antonio Campos will write and direct Ford's new series alongside Annapurna Television Productions. So far no premiere date has been set.

The show will apparently be co-produced by Ford, who is simultaneously taking on his first recurring television role. Prior to the upcoming series, he had only made cameo appearances in series like The Virginian, The F.B.I. and Gunsmoke, as well as a handful of made-for-TV commercials and his storied film career.

Stay tuned for more details about The Staircase as they become available.
