Here's the Premiere Date for 'Schitt's Creek' Season 6
Schitt's Creek has revealed the premiere date for Season 6, which will mark the final season of the Canadian comedy.

It was revealed today that the sixth and final season will return on January 7. It will be made of 14 new episodes, which will air in Canada on CBC and in the U.S. via Pop TV. "Schitt's Creek has become a pop culture phenomenon fueled by the most talented cast and the most passionate fans in all of television, and the final season is sure to be weekly must-watch TV as we see what happens to the Roses," said Pop TV president Brad Schwartz in a statement. "It is gut-wrenching to say goodbye, but we know this final season will deliver even more of the heart and humour that has made the series one of the best ever."

The comedy received four Emmy Award nominations this year, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Eugene Levy, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Catherine O'Hara, and Outstanding Contemporary Costumes.

Earlier this year, the show was nominated for 15 Canadian Screen Awards.

Upon announcing the end of the show, series co-creators Dan and Eugene Levy previously released a statement, saying, "We are so grateful to have been given the time and creative freedom to tell this story in its totality, concluding with a final chapter that we had envisioned from the very beginning.

"It's not lost on us what a rare privilege it is in this industry to get to decide when your show should take its final bow. We could never have dreamed that our fans would grow to love and care about these characters in the ways that you have."
