Published Apr 07, 2020KISS frontman Gene Simmons has shared a public service announcement from isolation, reminding everyone to stop complaining about having to stay indoors during the coronavirus outbreak — because, he says, we really don't have it all that bad.
Joining TMZ Live earlier today, the rocker offered a lesson in major historical events, comparing this ongoing health crisis to the unbelievable massacres of World War II.
"Not too long ago our grandparents were asked to go fight a war overseas — a war they had nothing to do with — and 50 million deaths resulted in World War II," Simmons says in the video.
He continues: "What are we complaining about? You get to stay at home, do nothing, while people are risking their lives to make your life more comfortable. This will get better. I promise you. Take my word for it."
Additionally, Simmons offered some perspective on the situation, telling everyone — including himself — to get over ourselves.
"All of us have the burden," he says, "What's the burden? Well, the burden ain't much of anything. We should all shut up and get over yourselves. That includes yours truly."
