Published Apr 13, 2016Parisian music venue Le Bataclan has been slowly recuperating from last November's terrorist attacks. In addition to fending off preposterous rumours about the security staff from Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes, the theatre has been readying itself to reopen — and it's now begun scheduling shows for when that happens.
In a Facebook post, the concert hall didn't give an exact date as to when the venue will once again be open to the public, but the first confirmed show will be a solo set from Libertines co-frontman Peter Doherty on November 16 — almost exactly a year from the date of the November 13 attacks. The singer-songwriter is expected to issue his sophomore solo LP later this year.
Following that, Youssou N'dour will perform on November 18, Nada Surf will play on December 2 and Mz will take the stage on December 3. More concert listings are expected to be announced in the coming months, and can be found at Le Bataclan's official website.
Below, read the full message issued by the venue's Facebook page about the anticipated reopening.
