Published Apr 20, 2015This Saturday (April 18) marked the 2015 induction ceremony for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at Cleveland's Public Hall, and Lou Reed was inducted as a solo artist. This means that the night included lots of tributes to the late Velvet Underground god.
A few notable acts were on hand to cover songs from Reed's catalogue. Beck played "Satellite of Love" with help from fun.'s Nate Ruess, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs bandmates Karen O and Nick Zinner did "Vicious."
Meanwhile, Patti Smith and Reed's wife Laurie Anderson both gave speeches, the latter while accepting the award on behalf of her husband.
