Axl Rose and Tom Jones Partied til 6 a.m. in London Last Weekend
Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose and "It's Not Unusual" singer Sir Tom Jones may seem like an, uhh, unusual pair, but both were in attendance at a wild party last weekend in London.
The soiree took place at the Chiltern Firehouse hotel in Marylbone on June 18, and was supposed to wrap up by 3 a.m. — but local council officers showed up and attempted to break up the gathering at 4:30 a.m. after receiving noise complaints from neighbours. Guests eventually left at 6 a.m.
According to UK tabloid The Sun, guests were watching a boxing match between the United States' Andre Ward and Russia's Sergey Kovalev.
"The music was pumping. There was screaming, with boozy celebs cheering the fight from Las Vegas," a source said. "Axl was rooting for the US fighter and wasn't happy about noise complaints. It wasn't very rock 'n roll."
Also on the wild party's star-studded guest list was the Kills' (and Kate Moss's ex-husband) Jamie Hince.
If the 77-year-old Jones revelling with rock stars until 6 in the morning isn't inspiration enough for the coming weekend, we don't know what is.
