The Coathangers "Adderall"

The Coathangers 'Adderall'
Atlanta no-wave torchbearers the Coathangers have the fourth instalment of their split singles series coming our way October 15 through Suicide Squeeze. While release buds Audacity's track is being kept under wraps, you can hear the Coathangers' "Adderall," a creepy ode to prescription drug dependency, ahead of that street date.

Though sitting on the slower side of the band's back catalogue, "Adderall" has all of the act's touchstones (circus-style bass bounce, junky-but-discofied drum beats, and a clanging guitars). The track also features a mix of cooed and cried back-up vocals to support drummer-vocalist Stephanie Luke's scratchy, two-packs-a-day singing style.

You can check it out below, and peep the band's fall tour schedule with Guitar Wolf over here.
